The colour of a mango fruit is never an indicator of being ripe. Even a green mango can be ripe.

Some of the mango trees are said to produce fruits and flowers even after 300 years of its life. Because of this feature only, mango trees are said to be evergreen with long life and long fertility.

WE DELIVER RESULTS

Kiwifruit is sky-high in both soluble and insoluble fibre, which are essential for promoting heart health, regulating digestion, and lowering cholesterol levels.

OUR PROJECTS:

MAKING

A CHANGE

When eating a fruit think of a person who planted the tree

Our aim is to get the best quality products possible, all year around. To do that Ripe Now has looked further into, and integrated itself in the supply chain.

Ripe Now is working very closely with APEXKO SARL - an exporter in Ivory Coast. It doesn’t only insure a fixed supply of mango fruit during one of the most difficult periods of the year, it improves the local community too. Around 4,200 people in Ivory Coast are involved in APEXKO’s exporting activity.

In 2016 Ripe Now planted its first mango trees in Peru. This way we can monitor and improve the fruit quality from the very beginning. The land features a high technology irrigation system and will be ready to harvest in 2021!

OUR 2020 PROJECT

It’s not only the fruit that’s fresh at Ripe Now Ltd in 2020, but the buildings too. The start of 2019 saw us move our operation’s headquarters over to Boston, to a new site with an abundance of growing space and potential to grow our business, as well as help our employees to do the same. Having been empty for the best part of a year, the Boston site needed a few touch-ups and licks of paint but has now blossomed. There is a final vision in mind for the site and it’s a thing of beauty, but we will are not quite there yet. Our efforts to achieve this vision are unrelenting and we hope it won’t be long before we reach it. The new factory isn't just a pretty face, though. The new 65,000 sq. ft. site brings with it 42 ripening chambers as part of the package. We are embracing this newfound potential and we’re looking forward to seeing the all the positive impacts this will have on our ambition to consistently deliver the best fruit, all year round. While mango is still our bread and butter, with all this newfound space there is plenty of room for other activities. Bananas have already become part of the furniture and there is a lot of potential to expand our services to cover an ever-widening range of products. This is route we are very keen to explore in the future. Our previous packing hub at Coates will continue to function, but in a more 3rd party packing focused capacity and of course our Kirton site will remain fully operational with citrus and butternut packing, amongst other things. It’s looking like 2020 is going to be a very exciting one for Ripe Now and we are looking forward to taking our customers and suppliers with us on this journey.
