LED Lighting Project

To help us invest in these energy saving measures we had support from Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire. Through this we received a grant of £6,315.22 to enable us to make these fantastic changes.
The £8.5 million Smart Energy programme has been part funded by the European Regional Development fund. This is enabling small to medium businesses across the Greater Lincolnshire area invest in energy saving technology.

It is a must to wear a protective clothing during packing to prevent cross contamination. Don’t forget to wash your hands frequently!

Mango de-sapping
Mango harvesting is not as easy process as it seems. When the best fruit has been picked, it should be de-sapped. Mango tree’s sap has a very sticky texture and can damage the skin of a fruit reducing its quality. The sap is majorly released a few minutes after cutting the stem to seal the wound. Just like people’s cuts would be sealed with blood! The fruit would be picked with a long stem and when it’s cut the fruit would be immediately turned upside down to harmlessly remove the excess sap. The wound would be then treated to avoid any fungal disease.

RN Director and Ivory Coast Suppliers and Growers
One of the most important part of our business is our suppliers. We maintain great relationship with all of them. It is also important to know the growers as they are the ones who are making sure that mangos are produced healthy and tasty! They are happy to share their techniques of growing and harvesting as well as to feed you with the tastiest mango straight from the tree! Yummy!

RN Team and a Peruvian Exporter
The best negotiations are made on a farm! Every year the directors themselves are visiting each mango exporter to discuss the season and the best place to do that is under a mango tree. Each supplier is very proud of their farms as it is a continuous work to improve production. On a background some mangoes are covered with paper- that is to protect them from burning under the sun. That’s how precise the farmers are!
